A couple isolated t’storms are still possible this evening.
As low-level jet noses into Iowa tonight, it appears an MCS or a complex of showers/storms may organize & move southeastward on the weak surface front laid up across the viewing area. This would tend to affect us either late tonight &/or tomorrow morning. Isolated severe gust(s)/hail are possible along with locally-heavy rainfall.
It is not completely certain that this will form & organize well, but conditions support the formation.
Mid-level shortwave is evident & moving toward western Iowa, while low-level jet will strengthen & turn north, then northeast overnight with surface boundary in area with muggy, unstable airmass.
