A few scattered showers & isolated t’storms are possible Saturday morning through the afternoon & evening. Coverage will only run 25-30% with partly to mostly cloudy skies. After lows tonight at 56-64, highs Saturday will run from 77 in the far south to 84 in the north with 81 or 82 in Lafayette area. This will occur after lows tonight anywhere from 52 in the northeast to 62 in the far southwest & around 59 in the Lafayette area.
A few showers & isolated t’storms cannot be ruled out for Saturday night with 20-25% coverage & partly to mostly cloudy skies. Lows will run 64-67.
Sunday will see better rainfall coverage at 45%. It appears, though, the greatest concentration of showers & t’storms is shaping up for areas Lafayette & southward. With partly to mostly cloudy skies, high temperatures will reach 86 in the north, but only 80 in the south & about 83-84 in the Lafayette area.
Sunday night looks dry with partly cloudy skies & patchy fog with lows at 63-66.
Right now, Monday looks dry & partly cloudy with highs of 83-86.
Periodic showers & t’storms are possible Tuesday-Friday with high of 87-91 & lows of 68-72. Rainfall coverage will average around 35% daily.
Temperatures August 18-28 show a high likelihood of being ABOVE-NORMAL (normal high is around 82 with a normal low of 60) with rainfall ABOVE-NORMAL (normal rainfall for the that period is about 1.32″.
