11:15 P.M. Update

July 22nd, 2014 at 11:05 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

Capping issues exist in Illinois & Missouri, but line of storms from Rockford, Illinois to Grand Rapids, Michigan is dropping southward (where capping is less).

Scattered storms (40%) will enter area after midnight as this line moves southward.  A couple strong to severe gusts are possible with it, perhaps some small hail.

Some of you will see no rainfall or storms, but some of you will get a vigorous t’storm.

“Vigorous thunderstorm” came through here; left a brief, heavy rainstorm.

  2. They were nice and quiet as they rolled through here. I was up at 3:30 to check radar and the storms were just to my NW in my county and Newton. I only heard rain and rumbles of thunder, one loud rolling (the kind that shakes the house) boom but nothing else. Ended up with .23 inch rain which we needed.

Beautiful breeze from the NW right now! I know, some are freezing (Teri) but oh how I enjoy this!!

MA in REM with a temp of 68* and overcast (mostly) skies. Window open, AC OFF once again!

  3. O No Moe says:

I received 0.11 inches of rain. Just enough to settle the dust. Other than the grass turning brown, the garden and crops are doing great so far.

  4. Jim says:

Kentland. Rain .33. Lighting that was it.

  5. Teri says:

    LOL Mary Anne!
