It is already 69.3 as of 11:20 a.m. at WLFI. Winds are increasing rapidly, too. Gusts may exceed 30 mph at times this afternoon with plenty of sunshine mixed with some clouds. Highs of 75-80 still look good.
Temperatures tonight will only drop to around 60.
Clouds will increase through tomorrow with gusty south-southwest winds & highs in the 70s (to near 80 in the southeast). Showers & t’storms will arrive during the evening-night with some lingering rain Monday afternoon given the fact that the progression of the front will slow Sunday. This will keep us warmer longer in the 50s & 60s Monday night. We may be in the 50s early Monday, but then fall into the 40s in the afternoon-evening.
0.50-1″ of rainfall still looks good for the area, though I wouldn’t rule out isolated 1.25″ amounts in our far northwest.
It still appears the severe threat will remain southwest of our area Sunday-Sunday night.
With that slower progression of the front, it also does not look as cold Monday night, given lingering clouds & wind. Lows around 32 look good rather than 20s. However, 20s are possible Tuesday night.
