Near Perfect Day!

April 11th, 2014 at 10:01 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

It was a near-perfect spring day!

The area ranged from 67-71.  Fulton County Airport AWOS hit 70, Mary Anne in Remington 69, 69.6 here at WLFI, 69.5 at Attica & the Cass County Airport AWOS hit 68.

The cool spot in the viewing area was the Purdue Airport ASOS at 67.

It may start out cool at 39-47 (with some patchy fog possible), but tomorrow afternoon still looks like the warmest of the year so far with 75-80.  90-95 is likely from south-central Kansas to Oklahoma to Texas!

Winds will be strong from the south-southwest here to 32 mph.

With rising dew points, scattered fair weather cumulus will likely develop, below some patchy high & mid cloudiness with ample, nice, warm sunshine!

It definitely looks like severe weather situation (large hail & wind, mainly) Kansas to Iowa & Wisconsin tomorrow, but it will all stay west & northwest of our area.

Showers/storms will arrive Sunday evening-night.  It still appears severe threat will stay southwest of our area, owing to our lack of surface instability.
