4:35 P.M. UpdateApril 11th, 2014 at 4:15 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
It is a beautiful day! Skies are mostly sunny to sunny & winds are variable at 5-10 mph!
Our 69.7 at 4:35 p.m. makes this the second day that we have reached or exceeded 70. That has not happened since the period of October 8-13!
The evening looks great!
Tonight we will drop to 40-47 with mostly clear skies & light winds. Some patchy fog is possible.
Saturday looks like the warmest day of the year, so far. However, south-southwest winds will gust to 32 mph at times. Areas of high & mid clouds with scattered cumulus are likely, but opted for mostly sunny wording.
Highs will reach 75-80 & lows Saturday night will drop to just 57-62.
For “The Challenge” tomorrow at Purdue University, the weather looks good! After a chilly start at 44, we will rapidly warm to 55 by 9 p.m. & 70 by 11 p.m. & then 72 by noon!
Clouds will be increasing from northwest to southeast Sunday with strong winds from the south-southwest up to 35 mph.
Showers & t’storms will arrive Sunday evening & last into Sunday night. It appears the main line of storms with some supercells will be west & southwest of our area. However, if greater influx of more unstable can make it up our way, then severe threat will need tobe expanded to our area. 0.50-1″ is likely by Monday morning.
Any lingering showers will exit by midday Monday, followed by mostly cloudy, windy & chilly conditions (highs 44-50).
With clearing skies & diminishing winds, a widespread frost & freeze is likely Monday night with lows at 25-29.
