Outlook to January 30January 13th, 2014 at 11:25 am by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
Clipper is passing through with clouds, wind & a few showers. It is a warm 48.1 degrees, but temperatures will begin to fall this afternoon with lows tonight near 27.
Clipper will pass tomorrow with a few showers, followed by snow showers. Snow showers will taper off with time tomorrow night. We may reach 37, then fall to 31.
By tomorrow night-early Wednesday morning 1″ or less of snowfall is likely, but I would not be surprised to see some places receive as much as 1-2″ north & northeast of Lafayette. Watch for slick areas on roads. Merger with subtropical jet so this clipper blows up will occur well east of here. Even north of here, clipper will strengthen with 4-8″ of snow in Wisconsin & Michigan.
Otherwise, the week will get much colder with highs only near 20-25 by mid & late week with snow showers & 1″ or less by Friday.
Friday night, low temperatures may drop to 8-14.
There are indications of another clipper Saturday-Sunday with minor snowfall accumulations.
Overall, the week looks pretty breezy to windy, as well.
Pattern looks persistently cool through January 25 with accumulating snowfall possible around January 23.
After today, analog suggests warmest temperature now-January 30 is 47 on January 30.
