Hottest Day Since July 19August 21st, 2013 at 3:46 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
We had 3 isolated showers & t’storms earlier in Clinton & Howard counties, but those have faded & most are now in eastern Indiana & Ohio. There are a couple showers popping just south of Interstate 70 in western Indiana. Will keep an isolated shower/t’storm in the forecast for the evening, but coverage will run only around 15%.
Slightly drier air has worked into today, dropping dew points from 70 this morning to 64 this afternoon. This has cut heat indices a hair, making it feel just slightly better despite the hot temperatures.
Our heat index at the station peaked at 93, but has since dropped back to 91 as pf 4:31 p.m.
Our high temperature has reached 90, which is the highest temperature here at the station since July 19.
