Wave of Showers/Storms Along Warm Front Today

July 30th, 2013 at 9:45 am by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

A wave of showers & some t’storms will pass today.  These are along a warm front.

Behind the warm front, it will be pushing 100 in the Plains (even with wet soils from recent heavy rains).  However, with near 100, dew points will be in the 70s, making it incredibly oppressive.

Warm front will make some progress through our area, so it will warm up, but the really hot weather will remain west of here.

Thankful for the .23″ we got as of 7 AM. I know I’m in the minority, but I prefer some hotter weather. It is summer and the grandkids, and grandpa, would like to get more pool time before they go back to school.
