Record Cool Temperatures Last Night & Again TonightJuly 28th, 2013 at 9:36 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
WLFI-TV, the Purdue Airport & Purdue Ag Farm all dropped to 48 this morning. This broke the Ag Farm record of 51.
Lows ranged from 46-52 with highs today at only 70-74.
Tonight will be record cool once again with lows of 47-53. Tomorrow will warm up to 75-80.
Blocking upper ridge off East Coast will break down some, as will massive ridge with record warmth in Alaska. This will allow unseasonable, deep trough in our area to even out & migrate northeastward. This will allow a warm front to surge our way & temperatures to rise.
Some scattered showers & t’storms are possible later Tuesday & into Wednesday as a warm front lifts through.
Although data suggest a lower likelihood of 90, 80s will at least return with potential of a 90-degree day.
After late Tuesday-Wednesday, the next potential of rainfall looks to be perhaps next weekend to early week after.
Temperatures will be much more like normal (85/64), but not really hot & above normal (no mid 90s or more…………no big heat waves like that through August 10).
