Scattered showers have been confined to our northwestern quarter this morning with some in Newton, Jasper & Pulaski counties.

Through the morning & into the afternoon & evening, at least some scattered showers & t’storms will overspread the viewing area (30% coverage interspersed with sun) with a peak in coverage at 45% tonight.

Right now, best chance for some scattered large hail would be Wisconsin, northern Illinois to perhaps Michigan.  Yesterday, tennis ball-sized hail fell in Wisconsin around La Crosse with golfball-sized hail in Minnesota.

Here, with embedded sun at times later today (amidst some of the showers/t’storms), a couple embedded t’storms may pop out some pea hail.

  1. No rain from the first line…..hoping, hoping, hoping for rain from the second line coming!!!

  2. Doug in Flora says:

Doesn’t look good, for rain…radar seems to show front dissipating, rather than growing in size and power…dang it! :-(

  3. Front is through Remington…..dry….nada. There looks to be a smaller line of cells up south of Chi, lake front, etc…..that looks like our last hope for rain.
