A few spotty storms are possible today with highs near 95 & heat indices of 100-105.
Higher southwest winds with gusts to 25 mph at times will make it feel a little better.
Any of the very spotty storms will tend to diminish in the evening, however, it appears at least a broken line of storms will form to our northwest.
Right now, it appears the line may run solid from Toronto to Detroit & South Bend & broken from Chicago to Kansas City by 9:30 p.m.
Overall a 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. timing of the line with some pockets of damaging straight-line winds & perhaps some hail still look reasonable. It does not look widespread, as the better dynamics will set up northeast of the area. A little dry layer may promote a couple/few microbursts & strong updrafts may support a bit of hail.
After this, a few more showers/t’storms are still possible overnight-early Saturday morning, followed by a slow decrease in humidity Saturday afternoon-evening. Highs will still run 83-89. Skies will become partly cloudy with northwest winds going north, then north at 10-20 mph. Dew points will drop from 72 in the morning to 66 by noon, 64 by 3 p.m. & 61 by 7 p.m.
Saturday night lows will drop to around 60 with northeast to east winds at 10-15 mph.
Sunday will feature an east wind at 10-15 mph & highs near 83. Dew points will run 55-60.
