Lake Breeze Front…….Eventual Patchy Frost, Followed by Warmest Weather of 2013 So FarMay 10th, 2013 at 1:05 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
LAKE BREEZE FRONT………..
We are in the 60s to near 70 now, but lake breeze front will move southward during the day, causing temperatures to fall from north to south through the viewing area. By early evening, with 50s & a north wind to 30 mph at times, it will feel chilly. You will feel it when it comes through with low gray stratus, haze & brisk north winds.
COOLER TEMPERATURES & PATCHY FROST POTENTIAL……….
After that 68 today & 65 Saturday, lows will drop to near 37 Saturday night & 36 Sunday night (after just 57 Sunday). Even tonight, temperature look to head down to near 45.
The best chance of patchy frost appears to be evolving for Sunday night-early Monday morning, but will watch to see if winds can calm enough for frost Saturday night-early Sunday morning.
TODAY & SATURDAY………
In terms of rainfall, any linger showers in our southeast will pull away with a few showers & t’showers along a passing cold front Saturday afternoon-evening.
WARMEST WEATHER OF THE YEAR POSSIBLE NEXT WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY……….EVENTUALLY, STORMS………
The warmest weather of year so far is possible by next Wednesday or Thursday. This will be followed by storms Friday to perhaps Saturday. It appears some severe weather is possible with this.
BELOW-NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER WARM SPELL………..
After next Saturday, it looks as if temperatures may drop below normal for a few days (May 19-23 [normal high/low at that time: 73/51).
