  2. Ken - Mulberry says:

South of Mulberry. Just was awakened by a heavy blast of rain, possibly hail fro the sound of it, and wind. Has tailed off a little, and I think I can hear tornado sirens?

  3. Cliff says:

really?? weather alert woke me up!!!!

  4. mandy-northside lafayette says:

Yeah sirens woke me up (guess that is a good thing). Wont be able to sleep peacefully until I know whats going on. Looks like this is all south of Lafayette?

  5. Ryan H says:

Woke up to sirens. Thought TEMA was gonna set sirens off in areas, not whole county. Better safe than sorry I guess.

  6. maybelater says:

Woke up to sirens as well.

  7. Cliff says:

terrible here south of rossville anymore on the warning???

  8. Cliff says:

terrible here south of rossville anymore on the warning???

  9. Cliff says:

terrible here south of rossville anymore on the warning???

  10. Jessie says:

My phone woke me up. sent a text about a tornado warning for Logansport. No sirens or anything.

  11. maybelater says:

Lafayette…Very weird nothing on weather/police scanner about weather. Normally we here the spotters report.

  12. Anna says:

Sirens went off on south side of Lafayette (around Ortman & 18th). By the time they went off, the heavy stuff had just blown through. Nevertheless, woke up the family and spent some time in the basement checking the news updates.

  13. Ken - Mulberry says:

well, i’m rattled awake but will try to go back to sleep, I guess. Kind of scary that the sound of the wind/hail/rain/thunder was such a loud and immediate roar that I couldn’t hear the tornado sirens in whichever nearby town they were going off until the storm let up a little. And then only when the storm blast subsided a bit, I heard the siren and then it cut off second after. Being sarcastic here, but glad to know I had enough early warning to wake up and react to it had there been a true need to shake the haze out of my head and get to safety.

  14. ch n ffort says:

    Wind crazy n ffort!

  15. Anna says:

Ryan, that’s what I thought too. I figure if they divide the county in quarters, we’d be in the correct quarter for the warning, even though the threat and the warning cone is mostly further south and east of here. I agree, better safe than sorry.

  16. maybelater says:

Waiting to see if they are going to extend tornado warning in Tippicanoe county or not.

  17. Lesley says:

Usually I am afraid of not hearing the sirens but we heard the sirens and woke right up (kids still sound asleep) and went to see before we woke them up and the sirens went off and we could still hear some odd noises so staying up a little longer to make sure. Atleast I know I can hear the sirens now =)

  18. Chad Alenduff says:

    Tornado Warning has been cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Chad Alenduff says:

  23. cliff davenport says:

GOOD i was in a dead sleep!! i think its gone over now!! grrrrrrrrrr

  24. Ken - Mulberry says:

Am also heading to bed. Sounds quiet now south of Mulberry. Hope everyone is safe. That surely was one of the loudest storm blasts and quick & hard wind fronts I recall but it sure passed quickly. Crossing fingers for no wind damage to be evident in the morning.

  25. Jamie says:

Have the warnings been cancelled yet?

  26. Jamie says:

I meant are we in the clear for the rest of the night?
