8 Years of Past 53 Have Had Highs Below 30 In Late March………Update On Forecast
Since 1960, we have had only 8 years with high temperatures below 30 in late March (March 18-31). This data is from the Purdue Agronomy Farm COOP station.
As of 10:25 p.m. it still appears strong Alberta Clipper may bring 4-6″ snow to parts of Missouri (perhaps even far northern Arkansas) Thursday-Friday with 1-2″ as far north as far southern Illinois. It still looks to stay southwest of here, though it will likely bring some high clouds into our area.
Rain showers are a good bet Sunday, changing to snow showers Monday. There could be significant snow north of here in Iowa, southern Wisconsin & Michigan (band of 6-12″ possible). If this storm track shifts farther south, it would be more snow than rain here. We will continue to watch it.

Why is it Frosty the Snowman hates central Indiana?
Yes. I think that the Sunday/Monday system is one to keep a close eye on…..
I am tired of being cold…(we keep heat down to save money)

Didn’t March 25, 1979 have a high of 26 degrees? A trace of snow was reported that day.
I remember many, many cold Easter Sunday mornings. Spring will come
I think back to last year at this time when temps were very unseasonably high….and it never cooled off…and we didnt have rain…remember that? I sure do.
