Update on winter storm

March 5th, 2013 at 11:11 am by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

it’s been mix of everything overnight and this morning.  There have been very minor ice/sleet accumulations (mainly in the north).

On-going forecast looks good.  No need for changes right now.  Will make if needed this early afternoon.

Patience, everyone, patience…lol We will get hammered (by snow, Madman) later tonight. Although it might be a good night to drink a few in the hot tub. We haven’t had too many opportunities to be out in the snow during the past two winters.

  2. Joy says:

South newton schools are getting out of school early. I looked at the radar and it seemed like they were getting rain?

  3. Joy says:

Scratch that, they were in the green, but now they are getting snow- probably heavy snow at that.

  4. Mommytoo2 says:

I feel it is going to be another dud of a snow storm. Accuweather has already backed down Benton County and White County to 2-4 inches between now and tomorrow morning. So another disappointment for the snow lovers! I miss the days of good old fashioned snow falls in Indiana!

  5. Susan says:

I saw like ten snow flakes fall in Monticello a bit go and then nothing. I can almost feel the dry slot!!

  6. Kim says:

Not that heavy, yet…I live in Goodland, work in Morocco…it’s snowing here, but not overly hard, and the roads/sidewalks are just starting to get the smallest amount of slush on them, so I assume it’s right around freezing as far as temp goes. I’m sure SN is playing it safe…not a bad move, considering.
