Longest cloudy stretch in two years

At midnight tonight we will reach 5 consecutive days with cloudy skies. This the longest stretch in two years. The last cloudy stretch like this was in February 2011. (winter 2010-11 was very long snowy and gloomy).
Yes, and no snow to boot, go figure!
Next friday is looking pretty impressive, according to the weather channel, big snows comming our way apparently.
Or is it gonna be the big poop room brown out like always lol…
Ok so i just looked on the weather ch and the temperature for next friday say 48 and and sunny so what r u lookin at

March Madness in the year 1875. From a weather observer at Stockwell in Tippecanoe County.
MARCH 1- 6am it was 38 degrees and raining. 1pm 36 degrees. Have had a miserable afternoon of sleet and wind.
MARCH 3- 6am 14 degrees and snowing with a strong wind. It snowed very hard up to 2pm. 12 inches of snow fell and it drifted badly. 8pm it was 12 degrees
MARCH 4- 6am it was 13 below
The snow started about 6am on March 3 and by noon the snow was 12 inches deep and drifts were six feet deep. Sometimes it does snow in the viewing area!
Friday MARCH 19, 1875- At 10am it began to snow briskly and snowed all day. At 9pm it was still snowing briskly.
Saturday MARCH 20- There was 14 inches of snow on the ground this morning.
Tuesday March 23- At 2pm it was 35 degrees and snowing rapidly and 1 inch of damp snow fell.
At least 27 inches of snow fell in March 1875. That is what we call March madness in Tippecanoe County.
Shaun the weather channel had a segment on the gfs models for next friday, and ssid they dont even know what to forecast yet, but it hac indiana statewide with 3 plus , i dont know if its going to happen, i am just gojng by what the weather channel said.
I hope we get absolutley freakin clobbered like the other 49 states have been all winter, except us, lol
I hope we get spring here soon.

And for the typing errors like I like to call them…I am using my kindle fire and cannot always control my spelling before it gets posted…maybe that is an issue with some others as well..not that we CAN’T SPELL…there is just no editing on here once things get posted. Also you may notice that I do this………..a lot…it’s because there is no comma either on my kindle to use either. So please do not refer to someone as a dumb speller …maybe it is just their tablet like mine
No Charlene, it is not you, Jim goes from one extreme to another. He is nice then he cuts bloggers down. NO ONE was cutting you down but Jim made it seem that way! He is not on task with what he posts. He is here for the weather I guess but, he hardly never makes a post in a day without mentioning or trying to stir up nerves with other weather watchers. and so be it, Just hoped that he would learn how to blog, “weather” and not hurt other peoples feelings, he sure hurt mine!

Rb Charlene was referring to something earlier that Rich had said to her. Rich apologized and its over. There are typing errors that can’t be edited on here. Yes it’s a weather blog and your right it needs to be kept that way. That being said I for one defended a fellow stooge and stand by that. Jim….you just got in a dig in yout last sentence. Even i got that one!Please stop. I don’t even like to come to the blog any longer because of this nit picking. You say “be nice” and then you make backhanded comments to “the R’s” I don’t know any of you but this blog makes me feel like i am in my middle school classroom. Charlene…there is a comma to use with the Kindle Fire. but it isn’t user friendly so I don’t use it vety much either.I totally get what you mean. Please everyone..be nice and watch the shorthand. Some phrases may be approptiate for one to one texting but certainly not for a public blog. That is what i have taught my students. Fewer people blog here and i am sure the blogging behaviors of this winter are a primary cause. Let’s stick to weather here. There are other sites for other types of conversations such as Facebook. NWS has released a map for up to 6″ of snow for our area into Wednesday morning!!
Snow flurries in Lafayette, temp is 27.9*
Fox 59 is calling for snow. Accuweather and NWS too. I am guessing Chad will update and increase his totals a bit too. I hate to say it but i think temp may put us in the mixture if all precip again. Thus lowering our possible snow accumulations.

Jim, I actually love snow, too. So today’s snow shower made me smile from ear to ear. I am hoping for some snow to shovel, too, but it always seems to come when we have big appointments to keep out of town. It figures.
I want my son to get home from college today and then it can snow all it wants! 
Just hope the “predicted” accumulation for next week doesn’t mess up our ISTEP testing in our areas schools. The DOE won’t be happy.
