Strong Winds Gusting to 35 mph In Places

Winds are cranking up out of the east over most of the area & southeast in our southern counties.  Gusts have reached 35 mph in our northwest counties.

    I just seen that, it makes no sense to me, I don’t see how its going to last that long unless it wraps around.

    Mel its not done yet, the heavier snow will arrive between 1am and 5am, count on it

    10:50 PM totals. 2.4 inches of sleet. 0.05 inches of ice. Sleet on the ground is settling with the freezing rain. Still moderate rate of falling sleet with light mixing of freezing rain. NE of Frankfort.

    Mix bag of precip here right now, freezing rain, sleet, and a few snow flakes mixing in. The winds are bitterly cold and out of the east. Temp right now is 28.9. windchill is about 16.

    Wow chuck, you must be under a downburst where you are, no where near 3″ of sleet when I went out at 11
