Snow sleet and freezing rain moving northeastward

Snow and now sleet is movingnortheastward with even
Bits of frz rain. I still greatly disagree with models of up to 6″ of snow. 1-3″ sleet and snow and 0.10″ glaze ice looks good. Winds are gusty with gusts to 27 mph at times.

Snow is sure coming down. I just heard a plow out on 18th street. My husband gets off at 11 and will be coming from Frankfort so it shall be interesting to see how the roads are for him.
Anyone from Lafayette do you have an inch of snow yet

Watching the snow come down with my son! It is fun to see the snow gently fall then the wind picks up and it changes course! My son compared it to the ocean and waves crashing in!

I don’t think this system is going to last that long. The radar on NWS shows the back of the system breaking up near the state line from the southwest.
Monster not an inch of snow yet in Lafayette, however moderate snow is falling, it is blowing and is somewhat foggy. Also very slick roads.

Just watched weather channels radar and put it in future mode, looks like the snow will redevelop and come in again after some the freezing rain. Guess we will have to watch to see what mother nature decides to bring to us. Right now the snow has seemed to have stopped. Approximately 1/2 inch of snow, not sure on the sleet total but it was enough to cover the roads and vehicles pretty good. Sounds like rice krispies cereal out there. Wind is really blowing out of the east at 24mph and gusting at around 29. Roads are very very slick thats for sure. Stay safe and warm all. Schools around us has went to 2 hr delay.

Ahhhh so glad Im retired recently. Dont miss them 4-30AM getting up going in when theres not a man or beast alive that time of morning!! Now I just smile and roll back over thinking of those @ 5AM walking in!!!

All snow here at the northern edge of tippecanoe county. Heavy at times with strong wind gusts. No sign of sleet or freezing rain. Really coming down!!!!!
Here in New Richmond, about 1″ of snow/sleet mix. Couple hours ago, it was pure sleet and diid the changeover about an hour ago. Still coming down pretty quick and heavy.

As of right now i am glad i took a vacation day tomorrow sad i cancled my plans but glad i dont have to drive in this in the am
35 years MM at going into the “grind” having nothing but bad news and hard work every morning. they did “us” all a favor by letting us go for cheaper labor. Well beddy bye time! yawn….
