New Info Based On New Data

February 21st, 2013 at 5:40 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

New runs show up to 6″ of snow, but I do not agree with this.  I like 1-3″ of snow & sleet.  If I need to (by monitoring trends), I will put isolated +3″ amounts in Newton & Jasper, but I do not feel the need to do that yet.

Everything else looks good.

It is now snowing in far southwest Fountain County.  It appears the snow is mixing with sleet about 30 miles southwest of there (per radar & observation trends).

Yeah, Wilkes at 59 had 7.3″ inches of snow for Lafayette on one of his models! He didn’t necessarily agree with it though. He thought more like 4″+. He is downplaying the ice somewhat though.
