Will Extend Snow Shower Wording Into Afternoon

February 3rd, 2013 at 12:24 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

Given the trend, will keep some snow showers going into the afternoon.  Watch for slick spots, as another coating has occurred over most of the area with some places reported another fluffy 1-1.5″.

I think a total Sniw total in Kentland would be 2.5 yesterday and today and last night. A lot of fluffy meltdown has occurred.

Wow Jim you got a lot more over that way than we do here. I have gotten more snow today than yesterday. What fell last night and is still falling now, even though radar shows not a flake, lol….I have 2 inches on the ground now!

Glad to get it really. And today’s is a very pretty snow. Hubs actually cleaned out the driveway with the snow blower. I think he was having withdrawal :-)

MA in REM with a temp of 21*

Chad, have the forecast models been particularly unreliable this winter or is this normal? I ask because I’ve only been looking at the forecast models the past few years now and this year they seem to be terrible lol.

    Mary Ann snow melting

Yeah Tyler, models have been less than stellar this year. I feel like performance has stepped back about 10 years.

Friday night snowfall, most models had 2-4″.

Regardless, I still rely a lot on an analog approach on how the atmosphere is going to behave.
