Temperatures are tanking with freezing line racing eastward.
Any moisture may freeze tonight & any snow showers & flurries will stick, given lows in the teens. Even if it is a very thin film of snow, there may be a few slick spots. ALSO, there have been reports of some patchy freezing drizzle in Illinois prior to any flakes. This may affect us in places this evening.
However, windy conditions will prevent if from getting much more icy as the air will tend to dry out the pavement somewhat before a lot of the wetness freezes.
If there is any snowfall accumulation tonight, it would be the grass/pavement whitened…………same thing for tomorrow with flurries & some snow showers around.
The cold will shock you though. Wind chills will drop to -3 by early tomorrow morning & still be in the single digits in the afternoon! Northwest winds may gust over 30 mph at times tonight-tomorrow.

This just goes to show how lucky we were last night that we didn’t get severe weather that bad. They had a lot of tornadoes earlier this morning and during the day today. This was one of them and by far the most deadly: It killed one. This is video of a nice wedge tornado from Adairsville, GA off I-75 about an hour NW of Atlanta. This tornado caused a TON of damage and actually killed 1 person so far who was in a mobile home. It also flipped over a TON of cars and all and totally disentegrated some. It flipped over 100 cars, trucks, and semis on I-75 alone when it crossed the interstate! Here is video of the tornado: http://abcnews.go.com/US/video/tornado-touches-georgia-18356428
