UPDATE:  Yeah, looks like Morocco station gusted to 37 mph at 8:53 p.m.

Getting some gusts to 55-60 mph just north of area.  Velocity indicates gusts to 38 mph around Morocco & as high as 45 mph around Roselawn from the line of storms.

Gusts in eastern Illinois per velocity are 40-56 mph with line of storms.

    First storm is knocking at the door. Thunder sounding mean :-) I see a wind gust at 26 mph at 6:40 p.m. Quiet now..calm before the storm!

    Thats a great question.

    Current high res HRRR indicates yes as LLJ strengthens.

    I am not holding my breath, but I still prefer to keep sporadic severe threat in forecast, given projected LLJ & dp values over the next few hours.

    Chad calm in Kentland my wind gauge reached 39 mph with the last line of storms. Lighting Heavy Rain.
