Update

January 24th, 2013 at 9:37 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

NAM & Futurecast still have very little snow here for tomorrow with all of the other models putting down a nice accumulating snow.  Chicago NWS has 2-3″ for Newton, Jasper, Benton, Northern Indiana NWS has 1-3″, Indy 1-3″ & Eastern Indiana/Western Ohio NWS has 2-6″.

Majority in model data & analog rules.  Fluffy, airy 2-6″ with 18:1 will do, unless something drastically changes with other models in their overnight & morning runs.  Most of the area is looking at around 2 to 3″ with higher totals in our east with a couple bands of intense frontagenical banding that see up to 6″.

We will see if indeed other runs show this no-show snow like in the NAM model & our Futurecast.

This is by far the worst model flip-flopping & discontinuity in a very long time.  It makes nailing this forecast seemingly impossible.

I know we’re not even past the snow that’s coming but i’m curious as to what you’re thinking for Sunday with the ice, will it be anything significant?
