Increasing Snowfall Totals For Tonight In Northwest AreasJanuary 23rd, 2013 at 5:57 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
Given nice banding features of the snowfall in our northwest & the likelihood of some lake effect, 1-2″ of snowfall in our northwest looks good for tonight with 1″ or less elsewhere.
Winds overnight will increase with about 2-4 hours of winds gusting to 32 mph. This would blow that 1-2″ around given its powdery nature in a 20:1 ratio. Even 0.4 or 0.7″ of snowfall will blow around some with the gusty winds.
All snow will tend to end with departing clipper overnight & then lake effect early tomorrow morning.
