Snowfall Totals & Wind Gusts So Far

Very strong storm has wrapped warm air entirely around its center: a very impressive feat. We actually have RISEN in temperature in our northeast & did for a while in West Lafayette. It snowed a light dusting, then it all melted, as it warmed 3 degrees in one hour (32 to 35) & just dropped to 32 with snow & 0.1″ of accumulation on the snowboard.

We started getting snow about 4:55 at Kingman and it is still snowing. Our porch has small drifts on it now. The dogs had to go out and it sure didn’t take long for all 3 to hurry back in. Thank heavens it was my husbands turn to take them out. Does it still look like a bad storm for Christmas?

New GFS run is trying to speed things up bringing the system further north and arriving on Christmas. Chad your going to busy guy next week,LOL. Euro and dgex model still have arrival around the 27th.
Looks like Chad is on the ball again. The GFS has come around with an inside runner. Looks like a nice hit around here, possibly!
Yep, that small system showing up Christmas eve Christmas day then the 27th will be a better system.

I just took the dogs out and it is awful. The wind is blowing like crazy and the snow is icy. Don’t think I’ll be going out much today.
