Gust As High As 56 mph with Cold Frontal Passage…..Now Comes the Widespread High Wind, Snow & Cold
Gusty, strong cold front has passed with gusts as high as 56 mph near Thorntown with the shower band.
Now, cold air is howling in from the southwest & snow is gradually approaching from the southwest.
Band of highest winds is still in Illinois & is pivoting our way. The snow, combined with the highest gusts & crashing temperatures will make for one rough evening & night to Friday morning!

Bring it, I’m not skeeeered!!!!!
Winds extremely strong here; current temp is 45 degrees.
Had some pea size hail with the thin squall line thus afternoon.
Really starting to look at next weeks models!
And???? Next weeks models….
I really need to learn how to read them myself.
Just started snowing here in C’ville coming down at pretty good pace right now!!!!!!!!
This system will hopefully bring a lot of snow
Bill, what are u seeying next week?
we never get the fun stuff
The last two runs of GFS is trying to take the next storm south and out to sea, the euro is taking a low pressure straight up thru Ohio (lake cutter) as Chad describes. I think the gfs might be out to lunch on this one or will come in line with euro model on later runs.
What is the euro showing for are area?
I Live in monticello, and work in Lafayette, so any info, will be appreciated
The euro has a nice band of snow for us 4-6″ to be conservative. And the gfs has some flurries,LOL. Chad will be relying on old fashion forecasting for this one!!!
That is for Dec 26th 27th time frame.
Currently high winds, with mixed snow and rain here…temp is 36…
and here we go again, indiana always gets the shit end of the stick when it comes to measurable snowfall wtf………
