Winds to 60 mph & Up to 14″ Snow In the Northeast………For Us: Areas of Fog & a Heavy Frost TonightNovember 7th, 2012 at 1:41 pm by Chad Evans under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog
Nor’easter is lashing parts of the Northeast right now. By this evening, gusts may reach 60 mph, especially on the coast. It has more cold air to work with, so Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for Philadelphia & for a chunk of New Jersey with Winter Weather Advisories from Baltimore to Maine. High Wind & Coastal Flood Warnings/Advisories abound from the Delmarva to Maine. Most of the snowfall totals will run 2-7″, but higher elevations will get up to 14″.
This system is just keeping it cooler with some stratus/stratocumulus around here. Most of the stronger winds are east of here with the storm.
Our weather issue will be tonight as the skies go totally clear & the winds go totally calm. This, with low-level moisture from the rain, will create areas of fog with a heavy frost to scrape in the morning.
