Evening Second Wave of Showers & T’Storms………Update On Plains Tornado Outbreak
After scattered rain this morning & widespread rain & some t’storms late morning to early afternoon, we had a bit of a break. In fact, I had dim sun at my house & was able to get outside with the dog. Now, a second evening round is arriving, but it is mainly in the southern 40% of the viewing area. After this, we will dry out with overnight lows steady in the 60s after highs today in the 60s.
Plains tornado outbreak is undergoing transition from shorter-lived, smalled EF0-EF1 tornadoes to large, wedge EF3s & EF4s. Large hail & downburst winds up to 100 mph are also still possible.

I rarely post to your blog; however, I wanted you to know that even if there are no comments, there are plenty of us out here who continue to read your posts. Thanks for continuing to post, Chad!
Got a large cell moving across IL toward me…NOT liking that at all…but you know that, LOL!
Do you have any information about the tornado that hit the hospital in Iowa? When do you think that cell will arrive MA? I live just south of you!
Wichita KSN forecasters are really concerned the downtown area will be hit. Very interesting listening to their live feed. http://www.ksn.com/content/weather/liveradar.aspx
