Isolated Severe Storms

March 30th, 2012 at 3:10 pm by under Chad's WLFI Weather Blog

Severe T’Storm Watch is in effect until 11 p.m. EDT, but our viewing area threat will be over by 6 p.m.

With a peak of 40% coverage of showers/storms this afternoon-evening, a couple severe storms still look possible with hail, wind /or brief tornado threat.

Shear is high, surface increasingly warm & humid & forcing is good with surface low to our north only increasing the low-level shear.

Thing is, this will not be widespread, but where one of these potent storms passes, severe weather will occur.  As said, coverage will just peak at 40%, so some of you will not even see a drop of rain!

Front has passed Remington. Winds have switched to the NW and the baro is leveled out. Only got .02 inch rain in a stray T-shower early morning.
