Even when he isn’t trying to stir the pot he is. Peyton Manning appears to be working out at Duke University, based on a tweet from a Blue Devils player.

“Got to stretch next to Peyton Manning today and say hello,” center Matt Skura tweeted Wednesday.

The connection between Manning and Duke is Blue Devils coach David Cutcliffe. He was an assistant coach at Tennessee when Peyton ran the show for the Volunteers. He was also the head coach at Mississippi when Eli Manning played there. Needless to say, the Manning’s are very familiar with Cutcliffe.

The twitter account @mattskura412 was shut down this morning.

Hearing about Peyton showing up in North Carolina isn’t all that surprising considering the fact that Manning told The Indianapolis Star’s Mike Chappell after the Super Bowl that he might move around the country during his rehabilitation so he can throw to “familiar receivers.”

“I want to go home, too,” Manning said. “We haven’t been to New Orleans yet.”

Let the Manning saga continue…Owner Jim Irsay seems fine with letting this process drag out until the very last minute.
