Pay it forward
If you are tired of hearing about unemployment, the economy, and crime, here is a great story I’d like to share. A friend of mine who is an Iraq War veteran, Tim Plante, sent me this:
On the back window of my truck, this is written:
“When you’ve been where I’ve been…
Any kind of life
Is paradise!!
Balad, Iraq 06 – 07″
My wife went to the gas station this evening and while she was fueling, a woman approached and asked how much fuel she was putting in. My wife said twenty bucks. The woman then asked if it was my wife that had been to Iraq. Chrystal said no, it was my husband. The woman then stuffed $60.00 in my wife’s hand and said it was the least she could do for the men and women serving. The whole thing brought my wife to tears.
Tim is looking for someone to say thank you to this woman. He would also like to let people know there are nice people in the world.
Thanks for sharing this story Tim. And, thank you for the woman who was willing to ‘pay it forward.’
